Annapolis Valley Regional Library – Looking for new headquarters space

Posted on March 1, 2015

The Annapolis Valley Regional Library is seeking proposals to enter into a joint contract to rent or lease space to accommodate the operations of its Headquarters.  The Annapolis Valley Regional Library network is the third largest group in the province with 101,271 residents in the catchment area of Kings, West Hants, and Annapolis Counties. The Headquarters facility coordinates service to eleven branches throughout the region. The vision for the future Headquarters space is a welcoming, convenient and healthy office environment reflecting the Board’s role as an important public service provider and responsible employer. The proposed Headquarters facility will contribute to the well-being of staff and the economic efficiency of the Annapolis Valley Regional Library. The headquarters location will provide access to Annapolis Valley Regional Library services and easy access to highways going East and West in the Annapolis Valley. The existing Headquarters building located in Bridgetown consists of approximately 7000 square feet and is part of a larger complex. Headquarters services include management, collection purchasing and processing, bookmobile and delivery services and regional coordination services.
