The Town of Kentville is pleased to offer Yoga in the Park this summer at Oakdene Park, starting June 8. Kentville is planning many exciting indoor and outdoor events for youth, families and seniors this summer, and this is the first event after Apple Blossom Festival that usher in the summer season.
“It’s hard to keep track of all the events, workshops and camps the Town is offering this year,” stated Jennifer West, Communication and Resource Coordinator with the Town of Kentville’s Recreation Department. “In addition to these yoga classes, we will have events around theatre, art, sports, free play, stroller fit, camps, swimming, tennis, and cycling. We have a great team who are excited to offer a long list of ways to have fun in Kentville.” Ms. West is also interested in hosting creative events and pop ups around town to promote healthy living in Kentville.
This free yoga class will be taught by a certified instructor and will be offered at a beginner level. Participants are encouraged to bring a yoga mat to participate in these classes focused on stretching, toning and relaxation in nature. Classes will be held every Wednesday evening from 5:30 to 6:30, starting June 8th, unless there is significant rain. Any cancellations will be posted on the Facebook page.
