The Town is seeking commercial tenants to occupy two separate commercial spaces within the Calkin Building in downtown Kentville. The Town is seeking tenants that will complement the existing mix of businesses located downtown, and will support the overall revitalization of downtown Kentville, and its new community brand promise to be “A Breath of Fresh Air”.
Preference will be given to applicants who will fill identified gaps in the current business mix downtown, add to the overall vibrancy of Kentville, promote increased “people” activity downtown, and foster the future success and sustainability of the building. The Town is hopeful that one of the advertised spaces will be filled with a tenant “demonstrating an emphasis on arts and culture”.
Applications for tenancy are being accepted by the until April 20th 2017.

Other plans for the building include interior and exterior design work and facade upgrades. There are also plans for a business HUB on the second level, and the Kentville Farmers Market has been confirmed as a tenant in the middle section of the main floor beginning in October of 2017.
