This January, the Town of Kentville would like to recognize Ben Hewins for outstanding achievements in the sport of cycling! In 2016 he raced in over 15 events and had many 1st and 2nd place finishes. Ben is currently living in Girona, Spain training with other international teams through the winter. The Town of Kentville received an early Christmas present this month in the form of a donation of a well-known downtown landmark building. The estate of the late Doug Macdonald donated the building at 34 Cornwallis, also known locally as the “Calkin Building” to the Town of Kentville with the idea that the Town could best facilitate its future use.
