Message from Chief of Police Julia Cecchetto

On behalf of myself and the members of Kentville Police, welcome to the webpage.

Kentville Police service has 16 members who serve in various ranks/roles from Cst to Chief, Patrol to Street Crime. The majority of the members have worked with the town for many years as well as live within the boundries. This creates a sense of ownership and pride in the work they do every day. This is reflected in the interactions they have daily walking the beat or patrolling the community.

Policing cannot be truly effective without the assistance of the people we police for. Through community engagement and involvement in organizations that are working to better life for Kentville residents we can be part of solutions. As the newest member of the Service, I am dedicated to learning what is important to the residents and business community and striving to meet those needs.

Over the next year we will be working to upgrade the webpage and provide valuable information to residents. Additionally we will begin to work towards creating a strategic plan to guide Kentville Police into the future. This will involve input from our Citizens and Businesses alike as the Police are a reflection of the needs of their community.

I welcome your comments and input at any time.

Respectfully

Julia Cecchetto
