One of the most fundamental needs of every resident, of any city or town, is to feel safe, secure, and protected. People’s other regular needs—a rewarding job, a home to live in, a satisfying social life—depend on the quality delivery of public safety services. It’s exactly why we at Kentville are so proud of our public service staff, members, and volunteers.

To serve our people well, Kentville has its own police service, with a centrally-located downtown station. Bylaw enforcement is run through the Kentville Police Service for such activities as reducing smoking in public places, illegal parking, dangerous properties, and more. The volunteer fire department is highly-regarded and also a hotspot for community events. And services such as animal control are professionally-delivered to all residents.
