This fall’s Trailblazers after school program runs Tuesdays 2:30pm-5pm for 8 weeks, starting October 1 and running through until November 19. The program is facilitated by experienced outdoor educators Emily LeGrand and Alisha Christie.
About Trailblazers: Students are picked up at KCA at 2:30pm where the program is focused on unstructured outdoor forest play. Kids can flex their imaginations, build their confidence in the outdoors and develop the skills and physical literacy to have fun and challenge themselves outdoors. Pick up is at 5pm.

Starting this Fall the Town of Kentville and Flying Squirrel Adventures are teaming up to offer an 8-week recreation session for 3-4 year old kids. Flying Squirrels Forest Play is an 8-week nature play session for pre-school aged children.
Held in the Kentville Gorge, the program will run every Tuesday starting September 10th until October 29th, from 9:30 am to 1:30- pm.
The program is limited to 10 children and is facilitated by two experienced kids nature facilitators Judy Lipp and Emily LeGrand. Deadline to apply: Sunday August 25th. We will notify you by August 28th if the participant has been selected for the program. Spaces are limited, get your application in as soon as possible.

Girls' Winter Adventure Club
We will be offering one 6-week session of Girls’ Winter Adventure Club (grade 6-8 girls) that will happen again this winter.
About Girls’ Winter Adventure Club: This program is all about being outdoors no matter the weather. Participants learn skills such as fire building, shelter making, outdoor cooking while spending time with other girls and women in the woods. Sessions start at KCA at 2:30pm and finish at 5pm. The program will be lead by experienced outdoor educator and enthusiast Judy Lipp. Applications will open online in the new year.
Join Certified Exercise Physiologist Paige Tremblay for a mixture of gentle aerobics, resistance band, body weight, and dumbbell exercises to keep you active, build strength, and join a support system! Open to all, this is a 10-week program with classes twice a week.

Join Lynn Denney and Mona Pearl for drop-in rug hooking on Tuesdays in the Lower Kentville Recreation Centre, 354 Main Street, from 1:00-3:00 pm! $5 drop-in fee for each session, with expert advice, in a welcoming and social atmosphere. Bring your rug hooking (or any hand sewing or needlework craft) and come join the fun!

Join us for this free outdoor program for adults and children every 3rd Saturday of the month starting at 9:45 am, rain or shine, year-round at the Kentville Ravine.
