Forest Play
The Town of Kentville and Flying Squirrel Adventures have teamed up to offer an 8-week recreation session for 3-4 year old kids. Flying Squirrels Forest Play is an 8-week nature play session for pre-school aged children.
Held in the Kentville Gorge, the program will run every Tuesday from 9:30 am to 1:30- pm. The fall season has finished but stayed tunes for the spring application
The program is limited to 10 children and is facilitated by two experienced kids nature facilitators Judy Lipp and Emily LeGrand.
$230 for 8 sessions (some bursaries available)
Girls Winter Adventure Club
Applications for the Girls Winter Adventure Club are now being accepted! Application deadline is Thursday January 9th, 2020!
Every Tuesday for 7 weeks (January 14 until February 25, 2020)!
About Girls Winter Adventure Club: This program is all about being outdoors no matter the weather. Participants learn skills such as fire building, shelter making, outdoor cooking while spending time with other girls and women in the woods. Sessions start at KCA at 2:30pm and finish at 5pm. The program will be lead by experienced outdoor educator and enthusiast Judy Lipp. Applications will open online in the new year.
Kentville Active Living
Join Certified Exercise Physiologist Paige Tremblay for a mixture of gentle aerobics, resistance band, body weight, and dumbbell exercises to keep you active, build strength, and join a support system! Open to all, this is a 10-week program with classes twice a week.

Join Suzi Fevens and dance your way to good health! This class is the same dance that has taken the world by storm for older adults or those wishing to workout at a lower intensity level.

Rug Hooking

Tuesdays from 1:00-3: 00 pm
Join Lynn Denney and Mona Pearl for drop-in rug hooking on Tuesdays in the Lower Kentville Recreation Centre, 354 Main Street, from 1:00-3:00 pm! $5 drop-in fee for each session, with expert advice, in a welcoming and social atmosphere. Bring your rug hooking (or any hand sewing or needlework craft) and come join the fun!

Monday 6:00-8:00pm KCA Gym (For players that are new, beginner or looking for recreational play). Equipment provided, or bring your own.)
All participants are required to complete the Pickleball Liability Waiver. This can be filled out on-site for drop-in or completed at Town Hall when you pay for the season.

3rd Saturday of the month at 9:45 AM rain or shine, year-round
Join us for this free outdoor program for adults and children every 3rd Saturday of the month starting at 9:45 am, rain or shine, year-round at the Kentville Ravine. We help you connect with nature through games, activities, challenges, discussions, workshops and more! There are streams for adults and children each month, come check it out! Visit the Credit Union Rec Complex on Park Street from November 4th through April for warm and dry activity. Walk, run or bring the tots for quality play time on the turf field. Monday through Friday 10 a.m. – 11 a.m. FREE
SHAFT (Super Happy Active Family Fun Time)
Winter Saturdays 10 AM to 12 PM at the Credit Union Rec Complex in Kentville. Bring your friends, family, and a clean pair of shoes for some FREE indoor field play time for ALL AGES. Leadership provided by the Kings County Family Resources Centre.
