Online Fitness with Suzi

Join Suzi Fevens for a fun, low impact cardio class designed for those wishing to have lower intensity workouts on Tuesdays from 10:30-11:30am. 

On Fridays from 1:00-2:00pm, Suzi offers a yoga class as well. Each week is a different type of yoga class.

Forest Play

The Town of Kentville and Flying Squirrel Adventures have teamed up to offer an 7-week recreation session for 3-4 year old kids. Flying Squirrels Forest Play is an 7-week nature play session for pre-school aged children.

Held in the Kentville Gorge, the program will run every Tuesday and Thursday from 9:30 am to 12 pm. 

The program is limited to 10 children and is facilitated by two experienced kids nature facilitators Judy Lipp and Emily LeGrand.  

Click here to apply. Application deadline is Tuesday April 14th. We will be monitoring the Covid-19 situation and will assess this program as the start date gets closer.

$250 for 14 sessions (some bursaries available)

Girls Winter Adventure Club

The Gorge

The application process for the Girls Winter Adventure Club is now closed, please call us at 902-679-2539 if you have someone interested in taking part of the program. 

Every Tuesday for 7 weeks (January 14 until February 25, 2020)!

About Girls Winter Adventure Club: This program is all about being outdoors no matter the weather. Participants learn skills such as fire building, shelter making, outdoor cooking while spending time with other girls and women in the woods. Sessions start at KCA at 2:30pm and finish at 5pm. The program will be lead by experienced outdoor educator and enthusiast Judy Lipp.

Rug Hooking

Lower Kentville Recreation Centre
Tuesdays from 1:00-3: 00 pm

Join Lynn Denney and Mona Pearl for drop-in rug hooking on Tuesdays in the Lower Kentville Recreation Centre, 354 Main Street, from 1:00-3:00 pm! $5 drop-in fee for each session, with expert advice, in a welcoming and social atmosphere. Bring your rug hooking (or any hand sewing or needlework craft) and come join the fun!

3rd Saturday of the month at 9:45 AM rain or shine, year-round

Join us for this free outdoor program for adults and children every 3rd Saturday of the month starting at 9:45 am, rain or shine, year-round at the Kentville Ravine. We help you connect with nature through games, activities, challenges, discussions, workshops and more! There are streams for adults and children each month, come check it out! Visit the Credit Union Rec Complex on Park Street from November 4th through April for warm and dry activity. Walk, run or bring the tots for quality play time on the turf field. Monday through Friday 10 a.m. – 11 a.m. FREE
