We are celebrating 200 Years of Growing by opening a Gardening Contest to the Kentville community.

Judging Criteria:
Gardens will be judged on:
- Design & Creativity: Use of colour, texture, and visual impact 
- Sustainability: Water conservation, composting, and pollinator cleanliness
- Maintenance & Health: Plant vigor, pest management, and cleanliness- Creativity: Unique use of space, materials, and personal expression 

Voting:
A voting panel will occur following the submission deadline of August 15 at 12 midnight. Participants give the panel permission to view their entry in person. If participants do not feel comfortable with this, please reach out to recreation@kentville.ca. 

Entry Rules:

• Competition is open to nonprofessional gardeners
• Registration opens June 15th and entries must be received by midnight on August 15
• Contest is open to residents, organizations, and businesses of Kentville

Judging Categories:

• Sustainable & Eco-Friendly
• Edible & Productive
• Container & Small Space
• Speciality
• Children's

Pictures:

• Entrants can submit up to five pictures to support their submissions
• By entering the contest, entrants give permission to Town of Kentville to use the pictures they submitted

Results & Awards:

• Winners will be notified by email and celebrated at Harvest Festival in October!
