Town of Kentville Responds to Flood Damage: Community Coordination and Recovery Efforts Underway

Town of Kentville July 12th – Following the flooding impacts of Thursday, July 11th, 2024, local authorities and municipal staff have mobilized to address the aftermath of the recent rainfall. The collaborative efforts focus on community and road safety, assessing damages, and initiating recovery measures across affected areas.

Infrastructure Assessment: Teams are currently assessing the condition of roads, trails, and public infrastructure to determine stability and repair needs. We greatly appreciate the cooperation of community members in respecting park and trail closures.

Cleanup Operations: Efforts are underway to clear roads, restore access to affected trails, and mitigate further environmental impact. The Town of Kentville is committed to moving forward with hosting the national Mountain Biking event – 2024 Canadian XCO and XCC Championships, July 18th – 21st 2024

Public Updates: Regular updates and advisories are provided on the Town of Kentville’s website to keep residents informed about safety precautions and ongoing community recovery efforts.
