Kentville Parks and Recreation Supports Neurodiverse Community with SHIFT Program

The Town of Kentville’s Parks and Recreation Department is proud to support inclusive programs like SHIFT, which cater to individuals with neurodiversity. By partnering with The Flower Cart Group and other organizations, Kentville offers a range of adaptive recreational opportunities at the various facilities and greenspaces. These activities—like swimming, frisbee, and soccer—promote physical wellness and social engagement, fostering a welcoming environment for all participants. We continue to expand our programming to ensure accessible and meaningful experiences for every member of our community. Looking ahead programming will include Boccia, play-in-the-park events, Challenger Baseball, open turf time, and low-sensory skating.
