A Public Participation Meeting will be held at the Kentville Town Hall, 354 Main Street, Kentville, Nova Scotia, at 4:30 PM on March 26, 2026 to provide an opportunity for the public to comment on or make suggestions to the proposed amendments. Presentations on the proposed amendments by planning staff and the applicant.

Planning Applications:

  • 4:30pm: The Town of Kentville is considering a proposed amendment to its Municipal Planning strategy, Land Use By-law, and Building By-law that would allow, under specific conditions, the issuance of building permits prior to final subdivision approval. The intent of this amendment is to enable housing construction to proceed concurrently with infrastructure completion, while maintaining municipal oversight.

The Public Participation Meeting will be held to provide residents and interested community members an opportunity to learn more about the proposal, ask questions, and share feedback before the matter proceeds to Council for consideration.
