Recently, shelters were discovered in the Kentville Gorge that were built using live trees, which had been cut down. While we love seeing people explore and enjoy the outdoors, it’s important to remember that cutting live trees on public property is a violation of the CH57 Trail Use By-Law:

4.1 𝘞𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘦 𝘰𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘵𝘳𝘢𝘪𝘭, 𝘯𝘰 𝘱𝘦𝘳𝘴𝘰𝘯 𝘴𝘩𝘢𝘭𝘭 𝘥𝘰, 𝘤𝘢𝘶𝘴𝘦 𝘰𝘳 𝘱𝘦𝘳𝘮𝘪𝘵 𝘢𝘯𝘺 𝘰𝘧 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘧𝘰𝘭𝘭𝘰𝘸𝘪𝘯𝘨:
