It’s never too late to take another one of life’s paths for a brand-new adventure. The Wild Women of Winedale by Jones, Hope and Wooten will at CentreStage, Kentville, on January 10,11,17,18,19, 24,25,26 31, February 1,7,8, 9, 14, 15. Front of House opens at 6:45 pm for the evening performances and 1:15 pm for the matinees. Tickets: adults $15; seniors/students $12; children, age 12 and under, $5. CentreStage takes cash or cheques only. Reservations are recommended and are held until 15 minutes before show time. Call 902-678-8040 for reservations. www.centrestagetheatre.ca

This Interactive Ice Safety Workshop will educate you around ice formation and prediction, as well as how to assess and judge ice safety. You will also be shown how to use ice safety equipment and manage group risks. There are lots of hands on demonstrations of nordic skates and ice safety equipment, and an introduction to resources and information available through the Nor’Easter Natural Ice Group.

At the end of the workshop, you will receive a certificate of completion!

This workshop is indoors, but will be followed by open skating at Miner’s Marsh (weather dependent). Some skating and safety equipment available for purchase. Cash and cheque only.

$3 for youth and seniors, $5 for adults
Hot drinks will be provided!

Embrace the winter and join us for a free guided hike/ snowshoe (weather dependent) through the Gorge. This is approximately a 5km moderate difficulty walking loop. All ages are welcome!
Please be sure to dress for the weather and bring ice grippers if you have them!

Don't have your own snowshoes or ice grippers? We have some snowshoes, ice grippers and hiking polls available to borrow for free at Town Hall (354 Main Street). Town Hall is open from 8:30-4:30, Monday- Friday. Photo ID is required

Have you written short stories or opening chapters that you would like to further develop? Join the Kentville Writers Group with author Dana Mills for a monthly workshop. Ages 15 and up. Participants must have access to email and a printer.

Join us on Wednesday, January 29, 2020 at 7:00 pm, for our meeting to be held at Kings Riverside Court, on Webster Street in Kentville.

PROGRAM: A presentation by several Acadia History students on their participation in the second "Oral History of Kentville" project. They will talk about the Interviews they conducted with various longtime women residents of Kentville, and the value of the face-to-face interview to hear their stories that formed part of Kentville's history.

There will be refreshments and everyone is welcome!
