Coldest Night Of the Year requires that a Team Captain recruit and motivate participants from their school, work/office, church, business, service club, group of friends or whatever group you can think of to walk and fundraise for a great cause. Online registration will open on or before December 1st: cnoy.org/location/annapolisvalley

The Coldest Night of the Year is a non-competitive 5km/10km winter walk fundraiser that supports Canadian charities who serve people who are hungry, homeless, and hurting in cities across Canada.
• CNOY allows participants the opportunity to experience a hint of the challenges faced by the homeless during a cold Canadian night in the dead of winter, while raising money for a local ‘homeless’ mission or shelter they know - in this case, Open Arms
• Event day registration opens at 2:30 pm and walkers are sent off at 5:00 pm, returning an hour or two later depending on distance and speed at which they walk. Our location is the Kentville Fire Hall.
• Money is raised as registered teams of walkers participate in a well organized event after having fundraised on behalf of Open Arms. Teams can be any size, but typically range from 5-15 people.
• We are pursuing 60 Team Captains to lead 500 participants in support of a local charity that is entirely community supported.
