To ensure the safety of everyone and the timely completion of essential line replacement work, we urgently request your full cooperation. The barricades and closure signs are in place for a reason. Ignoring them not only endangers you and others but also causes significant delays for the workers striving to complete the work.

𝐏𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐞 𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐭 𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐜𝐥𝐨𝐬𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐬𝐢𝐠𝐧𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐫𝐞𝐟𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐧𝐲 𝐜𝐥𝐨𝐬𝐞𝐝 𝐬𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐥. Your understanding and cooperation are crucial in helping us complete this work safely and efficiently.

A section of West Main Street in Kentville and portion of the nearby Harvest Moon Trailway will temporarily be closed starting Tuesday, Aug. 13, to allow for critical upgrades to regional sewer lines servicing the area.

• West Main Street will be closed from the Park Street intersection.

• The Harvest Moon Trail will be closed from Kings County Academy to Evergreen Home for Special Care.

It is estimated the closed sections of West Main Street and the Harvest Moon Trail will reopen Wednesday, Aug. 14, at 5 p.m.

The closures are necessary to safely upgrade an underground sewer line connected to the Regional Sewer Treatment Plant in New Minas.

To minimize disruptions during the line replacement work, we ask Harvest Moon Trail users to:

• Respect closure signs and avoid entering closed sections

• Plan alternative routes

Please respect the barriers in place to keep the trail clear for crews working to complete the line replacement work.
