NOTICE OF SECOND READING

or “Notice of Intent to Consider”

TAKE NOTICE that at a public meeting held April 29, 2019, Kentville Town Council gave First Reading to create Chapter 99 Smoke Free Public Place Bylaw, which would replace Chapter 84 Smoke Free Public Places Bylaw.

The new Bylaw includes wording that reflects the national legislation around cannabis, and include expanded definitions for cannabis, public places, smoking and vaping.

ALSO TAKE NOTICE that the Second (Final) Reading of this Bylaw is scheduled to take place at the Meeting of Town Council on Monday May 27, 2019 at 7:00 PM.

A copy of this Bylaw is available at the Town Office at 354 Main Street, Kentville, NS, between 8:30 AM and 4:30 PM, Monday to Friday (holidays excluded), or on the Town’s website at www.kentville.ca.  Any objections should be made in writing to the Town Clerk.
