Porter's Custom Trophy and Engraving is a family run business that was started in 1987 by David and Shawna Porter at their home in Brooklyn, Hants County. They wanted to start a business that would replace Shawna's income so that she could be a stay-at-home mom. Together, they had three children who started helping out around the shop since they were old enough to hold a ratchet!

When Porter's was founded in 1987, Dave and Shawna only had a hand engraver at their one home location to keep them busy, however they now have two locations and several computerized engraving machines that have helped their business blossom into what it is today. Sadly, the family and the business lost an integral part in 2004 when David passed away, since then, the business has been run by Shawna and the children.

At Porter's our mission is to give an excellent product at a reasonable price in a timely manner to hopefully make all current and future clients part of the family.

Mader’s opened in January 1929 on Aberdeen Street, Kentville. It had changed and diversified over the years. We now carry a large selection of products while keeping a major focus on past products and heritage.
