We are thrilled to announce the launch of Kentville's 200th Anniversary celebrations.
In April 1826, the inhabitants of Horton Corner came together at a public meeting and formally resolved that their growing village would be known as Kentville. Two centuries later, we are proud to celebrate 200 years of growth as a vibrant town and a welcoming community.
To mark this milestone, we are excited to share some of the key anniversary events planned throughout the year:
Featuring a large open indoor field, the Credit Union Rec Complex is the home for baseball, rugby, Acadia football, and the local indoor model airplane flying club, among others. Two international squash courts on the second floor of the Soccer Dome (built by the Kings County Squash Club) boast one of the most successful junior programs in Atlantic Canada.
