As we prepare for the construction of the new Donald E. Hiltz connector road, activity in the work area will start the week of May 12th 2025. 

Crews are on-site as of Tuesday May 13th, adding construction signs and caution tape to mark the work area.  Tree clearing is expected to begin immediately. 

We know many people use the current temporary road as a walking route or recreational area.  The road is now a construction site and will remain as such for the rest of the Summer, into the Fall, and likely into winter.

All trail crossings across the full length and 100 foot width of the Hiltz Road are closed. This includes all TOK built trail crossings as well as any others built / used by the mountain bike and hiking community.  Please respect the signage and markings that have been placed in the area and stay out of the construction zone.
