The Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) provides organizational leadership to ensure corporate strategies meet public needs as determined by council. All Department Directors report directly to the CAO, who supports Council by making recommendations on a broad range of policy, financial, and administrative issues.  

Kevin Matheson joined the Town of Kentville staff in February of 2025 as an Interim CAO.  He brings a wealth of experience from municipalities across Nova Scotia and will help staff with the 2025-2026 budget and will guide Council in the transition to a permanent CAO for the town!  Welcome Kevin!
