Change to the Subdivision Bylaw

On May 8th, 2023 Kentville Town Council reviewed proposed amendments to the Subdivision Bylaw recommended by staff with regard to the requirements for sidewalks on new Arterial and Collector Roads. 

Residents are invited to a public hearing on this issue on June 20th at 6pm and Kentville's town hall (354 Main Street).  For more details on this amendment, please read the report available on this page ("Related Documents").

  1. Application submitted on May 8: change to subdivision bylaw
  2. Public Information Meeting
  3. First Reading at Council
  4. Public Hearing (WE ARE HERE!)
  5. Second Reading at Council
  6. 14 day appeal period

A PUBLIC PARTICIPATION MEETING will be held in Council Chambers of Town Hall at 6:00 PM on Thursday May 25th, 2023 to provide an opportunity for the public to comment on or make suggestions to the proposed amendments.

How to participate:  Any interested persons are welcome to make their opinions known by (1) submitting a written submission by 4:30 PM on Monday May 22nd, 2023, (2) attend the meeting in person, or (3) attend the meeting virtually over Zoom.
