Introducing Winter Warm-Up!

Join us for a month-long winter festival designed to celebrate and embrace February, stay active, and connect with one another - no matter what winter brings.

As part of Winter Warm-Up, there will be Pop-Up Outdoor Winter Events and a Community Wellness Challenge!

Events may included:
-Guided winter walks or snowshoe strolls
-Family snow play pop-ups (sledding, snow sculpting, snow painting)
-Evening lantern walks
-Trail or park meet-ups when conditions are ideal

Community Wellness Challenge will be using the Wellnify.ai app as a central hub for:
-Daily movement and wellness engagement
-Friendly community challenges and leaderboard
-Local events, shoutouts, and community highlights

Come out. Warm up. Winter is better together!
 

Registration is now open for the Wellnify.ai app!

We'll be running raffle prizes throughout the month.

You can earn ballots by:
-Connecting your steps (every 10,000 steps earns an entry)
-Earning points in the app (every 1,000 points earns an entry)

How to Register:

-Create your account and download the Wellnify.ai app
-Log in and connect your steps

Once you're set up, start walking and earning points!

Looking at the upcoming forecast we think a Pop-Up Sledding Party is in order, as a part of Winter Warm-Up!

Come join us Monday, February 2 from 6:30 pm - 9:00 pm at Burgher Hill. Cozy up next to the fire pit with a cup of (free) hot chocolate! Let's embrace another snowfall and gear up. All ages welcome.

Winter is showing up and so are we!

Enjoy a free community ski as part of Winter Warm-Up with Cross Country Nova Scotia!

Please meet on the Harvest Moon Trail by KCA, skiers will be leaving at 10:00 am.

Pre-registration is required. Bring your own gear! If you don't have your own, not to worry- rentals are available through our Equipment Loan Program, www.kentville.ca/ELP.

Try skiing with Parks & Recreation and the Cross Country Nova Scotia Ambassador Program at the Recreation Hub! 800 West Main Street, 1pm - 3 pm. 

This is an opportunity for community members of all skill levels to try skiing in an inclusive environment. Sit-skis and kick sleds are available for people with physical disabilities or mobility challenges.

This is a free event but registration is required via https://kentville.ca/programs to ensure we have the right numbers for equipment. All ages welcome!

Come join us at the Kentville Centennial Arena on February 14 from 4:10 pm to 5:00 pm for a free skating party!

All ages are welcome, at this drop-in event. Skates and helmets are available to borrow at the arena and there will be free hot chocolate!
