Try skiing with Parks & Recreation and the Cross Country Nova Scotia Ambassador Program at the Recreation Hub! 800 West Main Street, 1pm - 3 pm. 

This is an opportunity for community members of all skill levels to try skiing in an inclusive environment. Sit-skis and kick sleds are available for people with physical disabilities or mobility challenges.

This is a free event but registration is required via https://kentville.ca/programs to ensure we have the right numbers for equipment. All ages welcome!

Come join us at the Kentville Centennial Arena on February 14 from 4:10 pm to 5:00 pm for a free skating party!

All ages are welcome, at this drop-in event. Skates and helmets are available to borrow at the arena and there will be free hot chocolate!

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

Land Use Bylaw Amendments

TAKE NOTICE that Kentville Town Council will be holding a PUBLIC HEARING on Monday, February 23, 2026 at 4pm in Council Chambers of Town Hall, 354 Main Street, Kentville, NS. Council intends to consider at this meeting the following proposal:

Planning Application: The Town of Kentville is considering a proposed amendment to its Municipal Planning Strategy, Land Use By-law, and Subdivision By-law that would allow, under specific conditions, the issuance of development permits prior to final subdivision approval. The intent of this amendment is to enable housing construction to proceed concurrently with infrastructure completion, while maintaining municipal oversight and safety standards.

Any interested persons who wish to speak on the matter are welcome to attend and make their opinions known to Council. Visual presentations, such as PowerPoint, and written submissions must be provided to staff before 12pm on the business day immediately preceding the Hearing.
