Got a knack for law enforcement, a passion for community vibes, and a thirst for fun leadership adventures? Our Youth Program is your golden ticket to connect and make a difference!

What will I do as a member of the Kentville Police Service Youth Program?

  • Attend regular monthly meetings at Kentville Police Service
  • Participate in educational, community-related, or recreational activities throughout the year including:  
    • appearing in parades and at community events
    • introductory law classes
    • suiting up as McGruff the Crime Dog at community events  
    • assisting with Kentville Police Service events including Police Week
    • attend team building events
    • going on field trips

What requirements are needed to apply to join the Kentville Police Service Youth Program? 

First things first, you must:

  • be 14 (prior to December 31) to 18-years-old
  • not have a criminal record  
  • be of good character
  • be a full time student and maintain a passing grade
  • have an interest in law enforcement and community
  • be able to understand direction, use sound judgment, and accept supervision
