Sewer Rates Approved

After several years of rate stability, Kentville Town Council has approved sewer rate increases for 2025–2026 and 2026–2027.  New rates and the schedule are outlined below. Here's how it will work:

2025-2026

• April–September 2025 bills stay at old rates
• New rates apply from October 1, 2025

2026-2027

• New rates apply for the full year, starting April 1, 2026

These rates reflect rising regional sewer treatment costs and will help fund future infrastructure maintenance and upgrades. 

So what does this mean for you?  Do you receive a quarterly bill? Take the monthly rate x3 to estimate your upcoming base charge.

Monthly base rates and consumption rates will be adjusted as per the chart below.
