When it comes to learning, we are grateful to have the support of many educational organizations in Kentville and the surrounding area. These organizations provide educational opportunities for students of all ages and abilities.

Public Schools
Annapolis Valley Regional Centre for Education (AVRCE)
The English school board in the Annapolis Valley is called The Annapolis Valley Regional Centre for Education (AVRCE). The AVRCE is responsible for 40 schools and 2 adult high schools in Kentville and throughout the Annapolis Valley. Within Town Limits
Children living within the Town of Kentville limits can attend Kings County Academy (Grades Pre-Primary-8), and Northeast Kings Education Centre (Grades 9-12). Both schools offer French immersion programs.

Conseil Scolaire Acadien Provincial (CSAP)
The French school board, Conseil Scolaire Acadien Provincial (CSAP) operates across the whole province. They have one school outside of Kentville in Greenwood, which is the l'école Rose-des-Vents (Maternelle à 12 + service Grandir en français).

Private Schools
Three private schools are located within 15 minutes of Kentville in New Minas, Port Williams, and Wolfville. 
Annapolis Valley Montessori School (AVMS)
AVMS in New Minas offers private toddler, preschool, and elementary programs. 
The Booker School
The Booker School is an independent, non-profit, non-denominational, Pre-Primary to Grade 8 school in Port Williams.
Landmark East School
Landmark East in Wolfville is an independent co-educational day and boarding school for students with diagnosed learning differences.

Adult Education 
Adult High Schools
The AVCRE also operates Kings County Adult High School and Windsor Adult High School, providing an effective learning environment that meets the needs of adult learners. The adult high school program offers opportunities for those 18 and older looking to earn their high school diploma and those who wish to return to upgrade credits toward post-secondary studies.
Nova Scotia Community College (NSCC)
Kentville is home to the Nova Scotia Community College Kingstec Campus. This new and beautiful campus offers specialty programs not offered anywhere else including robust culinary and horticulture programs. The students at NSCC work closely with the town and often partner on community and tourism projects and initiatives. Campus is three minutes from downtown and was recently renovated and upgraded to include a new library and expansive vineyard that supports some of the newly offered agricultural programs.
Acadia University
Just a few kilometers east of Kentville—in the beautiful and historic neighbouring town of Wolfville—is one of the top undergrad universities in Canada. Acadia University offers numerous diverse programs and is also home to the Rural Innovation Centre and Acadia Entrepreneurship Centre.
Valley Community Learning Association (VCLA)
VCLA is a not-for-profit charitable group that works to raise the literacy levels of adults in Kings and Annapolis Counties. VCLA does this by offering a range of free classes and 1-1 tutoring in such areas as the GED, basic literacy and numeracy, English as an additional language, health literacy, family literacy, computer literacy, trades-related upgrading, and youth programming.
