Kentville residents elect six councillors and the mayor every four years during municipal elections. This team meets each month during the Council Advisory Committee (CAC) meeting with directors to understand town operations, and to receive recommendations from staff.  At the end of each month, council considers these and other recommendations and makes decisions in the best interest of the town. Both the CAC and council meetings are open to the public, either live at Town Hall or online using YouTube.  All council meetings and council meeting highlights are available on the town's YouTube channel.

TAKE NOTICE that the Council of the Town of Kentville on Tuesday June 20th, 2023 at 6:00pm in the Council Chambers will hold a PUBLIC HEARING on Council's intention to approve an amendment to the Subdivision Bylaw with regard to the requirements for sidewalks and multi-use pathways on new Arterial and Collector Roads. The Public Hearing will also be live streamed on the Town of Kentville's YouTube channel.

TAKE NOTICE that the Council of the Town of Kentville on Wednesday June 21st, 2023 at 6:00pm in the Kentville Fire Hall will hold a PUBLIC HEARING on Council's Council’s intention to approve a Land Use Bylaw amendment to rezone PID 55247761 from Large Lot Residential (R5) to Single Unit Dwelling (R1), One and Two Unit Dwelling (R2), and High Density Residential (R4).
