The Kentville Source Water Protection Advisory Group is subject to oversight by Nova Scotia Environment for the regulation of water safety issues.  Additionally, the SWPAG is responsible for the Land Use Bylaw wellfield protection (para 4-44) of the source water area and Source Water Protection Plan.  The SWPAG also has a responsibility for the protection and monitoring of the McGee Lake Surface Water Reservoir.
